Oh, honey

I've always had a tendency to anthropomorphize inanimate objects.
Poor bear! Poor honey!

I remember making a scene once when I was little. My mom and grandmother and I had spent all afternoon baking and decorating gingerbread men, and then I cried and got upset when people ate them. My grandmother kept trying to get me to eat one and I only cried harder--I thought it hurt them.

This is one of the many reasons to own a pet--it gives you an appropriate object for your childlike affections, so you can still make it to work even when there are sad, abandoned stuffed animals on the walk to the subway.

I love your short and sweet blog entries. This one says all it need to say. I never thought about gingerbread men in human terms, but for some reason I had to bite the head off first. Maybe there's some psychological thing going on there. My husband use to say, "don't bite my head off" when I got testy. LOL.
