I came across a beautiful quote about ten minutes after I realized that my next post would be my 100th one!
"The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The meaning of life is giving your gift away."
-- David Viscott, Psychiatrist and writer
I can't think of a better way to mark the occasion. We each see and experience the world in a way that no-one else can, and I'm very happy to live in a time when sharing one's perspective is so easy and rewarding.
What I see now: my cat, chasing a fat fly buzzing around the apartment. She's suddenly transformed from a lazy, lolling housecat into a stalking, pouncing panther!
I see the clean dishes that Dumpling washed before he went to work. I see a bathroom of my own, a stack of response cards from my family and friends, and my amazing Jackie Chan Hong Kong tourism calendar that reminds me the wedding is only a month and a day away!
Begging his pardon, I would add to Mr. Viscott's quote and say that the meaning of life is to not only discover your gift, but to discover all the gifts in your life. There are always more than you think!
Thanks for being a part of my first milestone in blogging! I can't wait to see what stories are waiting to be told over the next hundred!
