I'm blushing.
It's warm, I'm drinking red wine, and I can't believe I haven't updated this thing in almost three weeks!

I watched the USA vs. England match on the weekend, and since hardly anybody scored a goal (they tied 1-1) I found myself enjoying the aesthetic qualities of the sport.
I am actually familiar with the rules & whatnot as I used to play when I was younger. But ladies, I'm telling you, even if you're not a soccer fan just tune in when you get a chance! After staring at the enormous backsides, beer bellies, and jiggling chins of all the sedentary slobs you have to push through on your commute, watching the World Cup players is like a spa for your eyes.
Ahhh....
In other news:
-the new job is going well! It's been over a month now and the honeymoon is definitely over. But I like it and I want to keep it.
-I dyed my hair platinum blonde! I thought I only wanted to get highlights, but a friend of mine is a hair stylist and she really wanted to have fun and bleach the hell out of it so I told her to do whatever she wanted!
-I've been drinking too much this spring! I remember this from last year: two softball teams and restaurant stress = too much alcohol. Must cut back.
-And Dumpling finally found a buyer for his restaurant! Apparently it takes just as much time to close a business as to open one. The upside is that he's had lots of time at home and has put screens on the windows and shelves on the walls. Score!
I have to go check the World Cup schedule now and see how many more games I can watch...

Glad you like the job and I LOVE the sound of the Platinum blonde hair, is it still cropped short? - any chance of a photo.
I am back to blonde after a brief sojourn as a brunette - a change is as good as a rest or so they say!

Love, love, love soccer men. I used to play tennis and our seasons coincided. The legs, the attitude, man I crushed on so many soccer boys. They. are. hot.
Hi Susannah! Yup, my hair is still super short. It's so nice for summer! I've been wearing it pushed up in a faux-hawk type thing. I'll try to post a picture but I'd prefer a real snapshot instead of an extended-arm self photo--maybe after this weekend!
