I spotted this super-cool artwork (looks like modeling clay or similar) at the base of a construction wall in my neighborhood. It's unique, and a little grim--exactly how this spring has been for me.
It's the season of rebirth and renewal, but these skulls are a reminder that not only are those celebrated events short-lived--but they wouldn't be possible without the death and decay that preceded them.
Thank you, mystery artist, for the reminder that there is plenty of beauty all around--even if it doesn't look like what you expected.
