I spotted these bells in the lobby of a bank ATM.
Uh-oh, the Trouble bell's ringing!
Dumpling and I attended the annual NYC Tattoo convention yesterday. It's great people-watching, and it's a good opportunity to see work by artists from around the world. My favorite was a French woman named Catrina who does acrylic and watercolor paintings, and then adapts images from her paintings as tattoos. I'm totally visiting her studio in Paris!
They also have several bars at this event, tattoo competitions, and people selling artwork, accessories, clothing, etc. You can also watch people getting tattooed there, including the "old school" method of ramming the ink in with sharp sticks (which, I admit, I couldn't watch for very long!). I love the energy there, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's curious!
I had a hard time deciding between three necklaces. One said "Fuck off," another said "Trouble," and the last one said "I dare you." I decided against the first one because I wanted one I could wear anywhere. I was torn between the second two, and I was leaning towards Trouble because it reminded me of that bell. And also because I'm a big fan of The Music Man.
But Dumpling said it was the type of necklace an obnoxious sixteen-year-old girl would wear and then I couldn't get it because that's so true. "I dare you" is cooler anyway. Thanks for the tip, Dumpling!

Love it. I love stuff like that. I found these neat little business card sized messages at a random art fair that said 'You're Dead to Me". Couldn't resist. Have already given one out. :-)
