Word count

So I used to have this cool little widget on my blog that I could enter the word count (of my novel-in-progress) in and then it would show a growing manuscript and also a little turd-looking writer dude who had different moods like "calm and logical" or "ready to shoot computer." It was really neat. But it stopped working, and after a week of repeatedly trying to enter a new word count and hoping it would somehow fix itself, I had to call a spade a spade and delete the malfunctioning little shit.

So until I can find a better word-counting toy, I'm just going to update the few people who are interested by doing it the "old-fashioned way" and entering it as a regular old blog post.

So far I'm at 53,798 words, and my best guess is that it'll be around 110,000 all told. The first draft anyway.

Mmm, Dumpling's making eel on rice. Time to step away from the computer!
